THE BOARD

JIMMY BOLGER (SECRETARY)
Jimmy is a second-year student at Northern Illinois University College of Law. He currently serves as Secretary of the Christian Legal Society, where he hopes to foster fellowship and support among students seeking to live out their faith in the legal profession. Jimmy is passionate about public service and is pursuing a career in federal practice, with recent experience as a legal intern for the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps. His goal is to integrate his Christian faith with his calling as an attorney, striving to serve others with integrity, humility, and purpose.

KYLE POPOVICH (TREASURER)
Hello all, my name is Kyle Popovich, not to get confused with our Curriculum Chair, Kyle Toledo. I am the treasurer for NIU College of Law’s Christian Legal Society. I am very excited for the school year and to hopefully contribute to bringing people closer to God at the law school. I am a 3L currently working as a law clerk for a personal injury firm in Chicago and in my free time I like to watch movies and consume anything basketball related. Feel free to reach out about anything treasurer-related or simply about CLS and I look forward to attending Bible studies and seeing you all around, God bless!

KYLE TOLEDO (CHAIR OF CURRICULUM)
My name is Kyle Toledo, and I am a 3L at Northern Illinois University College of Law. I’m still figuring out exactly where I want my legal career to take me, but I’m open to whatever God has planned for my future. At NIU, I serve as the Curriculum Coordinator for the Christian Legal Society, where I create and lead Bible studies and speak at CLS events. Outside of law school, I serve as a volunteer small group leader for the student ministry at Gospelife Church, where I get to walk alongside and mentor high school students in their faith. I also have a passion for professional wrestling and dream of one day being able to retire from the ring. Whether in law, ministry, or wrestling, my goal is to live faithfully, work hard, and make an impact in the lives of others.

LYNLEIGH SCHRAM (1L REPRESENTATIVE)
Lynleigh Schram is a 1L Representative for NIU College of Law’s Christian Legal Society. She graduated from St. Ambrose University and hopes to become an employment attorney in the Quad Cities area. Devoted to being a disciple to the Word of God, Lynleigh joined CLS to attract as many people as possible to Christianity and to share the way and the truth of life in a world often filled with anxiety and struggle. She believes that while many people think they know the truth, it cannot fully be seen or understood until they place their faith in it and experience the true source of purpose, strength, and lasting success.

MONICA MIHES (CHAIR OF SOCIAL MEDIA)
Monica is a 2L at Northern Illinois University College of Law with passions for social justice, family law, and dispute resolution. She recently served as a judicial extern at the Will County Courthouse, where she deepened her heart for advocacy and service. Devoted to living out her faith in Christ, Monica seeks to embody His love by giving back, spreading kindness, and serving her community. She cherishes her family, friends, and two pups, and is excited to serve on the Christian Legal Society board to help foster fellowship, growth, and Christ-centered leadership. Inspired by Micah 6:8, she strives daily to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.

PATIENCE MUTONI (CHAIR OF OUTREACH)
My names Mutoni Patience but I go by Patience. I was born in Congo but grew up in the Quad Cities. I studied International Business and Marketing in undergrad and worked in corporate America before coming to law school. Outside of school, I enjoy baking, cooking, and writing. I also love being outdoors, though I’m not the biggest fan of bugs. I joined CLS because doing life with Jesus has completely transformed me, and I want to grow in my faith while sharing it with others.

ROBERT S. KINNEY (PRESIDENT)
Robert is a second-year law student at the Northern Illinois University College of Law. He previously served as the Director of Ministries of the Charles Simeon Trust and as an Honorary Assistant Chaplain at Christ Church in Vienna, Austria. A native of Illinois, he trained at the University of Chicago (BA), University of Illinois (MS), and University of Bristol (PhD), and also earned a certificate in theology from Moore Theological College (ThC). As a pastor and student, he hopes to help point everyone at the law school to the love and mercy of God available in Christ Jesus. He hopes to serve the CLS well. He currently serves at the Progression Church in Chicago.
